I am directed by Secretary Sir Edward Grey to
inform you that His Majesty's Minister at Peking has
suggested that it would be an advantage that The
Governor of Hong Kong should be supplied with the papers
on political questions connected with China
which are printed for the use of this Department.
If the Secretary of State for the Colonies concurs
in this view copies of the papers printed in
the China Series will be sent to your Department
weekly for transmission to the Governor of Hong Kong
for his confidential information.
